Leadership

The heart Behind the Vision

Behind every initiative is a heart that was moved to act. Our leadership is rooted in service, faith, and opportunity within our communities.

Zekhethelo Madlala is the Founder and Chairperson of Seasons Foundation, established in 2020 to empower children, youth, and communities through education, access to information, and meaningful community engagement.

Growing up in a township environment and surrounded by strong women who served as pillars within their families and communities, Zekhethelo developed a deep appreciation for resilience, leadership, and collective responsibility. These early influences, coupled with her lived experience, shaped her passion for education and mentorship — particularly the belief that young people should not have to struggle to discover their gifts, potential, or career pathways.

Education is central to Zekhethelo’s vision. She is passionate about expanding access to information, early exposure, and mentorship so that young people can dream beyond traditional limitations and respond confidently to a rapidly changing world. She believes that informed young people are empowered to make better choices, challenge stigma, and build lives of purpose beyond the status quo.

Rooted in her Christian faith, Zekhethelo is guided by biblical principles of service, stewardship, and compassion — with a strong conviction to care for the vulnerable and to give generously and joyfully. Her leadership is driven by the belief that meaningful change begins with community, vulnerability, and human connection, especially in a time marked by isolation and growing mental health challenges.

Through Seasons Foundation, Zekhethelo seeks to inspire individuals to live impactful lives, build strong communities, and recognise that even changing one life matters. As seasons come and go, she remains committed to helping people adapt, grow, and step into their full potential.

“Seasons come and seasons go but when people are rooted in knowledge, community, and purpose, they can grow through any season.”
